We are therapists, but first we are parents. Each with 3 young children and we too are responsible for their learning and virtual education. It is overwhelming and we are here to help!
Our program is not just for children identified with special needs. Fine Motor Boot Camp is an enrichment program for every child that wants to learn, problem solve, interact and use their hands in play! Students at all ability levels are able to participate in our activities because we provide you with gentle guidance on how your child can successfully complete the task.
With the model of Virtual Learning, children will need breaks from screens. During your child’s brick and mortar school day, part of their learning is using their hands to push, pull, stretch, squeeze, pinch using different materials. Yes, this is learning and crucial to your child’s development.
Children learn "how to talk" and "what to say" from listening, observing and interacting with other human beings. Children will be missing crucial social interactions, learning experiences and reciprocity from teachers and peers while engaged in virtual learning. Our activities provide guidance in language learning on what to "say" while engaging in a hands on tasks.
