Having worked in classrooms, we know what is needed and missing from “Standard Curriculum.” We also know that more and more children (identified AND non-identified) are struggling when it comes to completing daily tasks that require fine motor skills (unzipping backpacks, opening lunch containers, writing and hand washing). Teachers are often "left in the dark" when it comes to therapies.
Fine Motor Boot Camp was created to fill in language and fine motor needs during the general education school day. Each activity was designed to use minimal, resuable materails, quick set up and clean up and a simple framework that any adult (or even peer) can follow. To quote one of our teachers, "If it takes longer than 10 seconds to set-up and clean-up I'm not going to use it." We listened. Don't waste your time coming up with fine motor centers, we have already done it for you! Our program has 5 years of implementation in classrooms all over the world. The Fine Motor Boot Camp Total Program is designed to provide programming to 5 classrooms for 5 months!
Each of our 5 sets of activities were designed with "focus areas" all coded with specific symbols.
Differentiation (Simplifiers & Challengers) is included in all 25 of our activities, meaning every child can participate in every single one of our activities.
